Christmas was rather good, if just a little late. My step aunt and uncle were trapped in Lncoln Park in an iced in parking spot and arrived 2 hours late. They had all the food, so we still had to wait about an hour and a half to eat.

We went to church in the morning and I could NOT keep myself together. All I could think about was my dad's big voice singing along to the Christmas carols and I couldn't stop the tears. It was embarrassing. But I just couldn't stop crying. God, I miss him so much. It still hasn't hit home for me, I think. All I could think about was the last time I was in that church, he was in a casket in the front isle and I couldn't keep my eyes off of him.

Other than that, my Christmas went by surprisingly well. I also went to Jenni's Christmas party on Christmas eve. We played the Wii a lot and I ate good Philipino food. She got me a LeSports Sac pirate purse for my present, and it's just too cool.

Today is my first day off in a week, and I really mean a day off. Tank cleaning, laundry, and I desperately need to go shopping for pants. All the pants I have for work are holey, stained, or too big. All of my jeans have paint splotches or weird oil stains or hot glue stains on them. And I need a new coat. My mom gave me $100 towards new clothes for Christmas, which means I'll be hitting Target and Burlington Coat Factory today, maybe even the thrift store. I need to get a tux shirt, possibly a tux vest and pants in time for the Crystal Ball, thrift stores are my friend.

Now that a heatwave has passed through the Midwest, we might be lucky for our travels to the Crystal Ball. But oh did it cause a great deal of strife for many of us. TJ Max, across the street from my JoAnn's, lost their roof. Our store has a few leaky ceiling tiles. My house is, thankfully, just fine because we had the roof fixed from the last crazy rains we had this summer. But a few girls have leaky basements.

Went to a 'We Survived Christmas' party at Robyn's house that was a ton of fun. I haven't gotten that drunk in ages, thankfully the massive dense fog we had gave me a good excuse to stay the night and drink more. Pictures of me from that are tagged on my ex co-worker Maggie's facebook. Some of those photos were before I even began to drink. I was just elated to have made it through the fog to get to her house in time. That fog was scary. At some points, the road would just disappear. That's really not cool. A few times I thought I'd just go home, but since home was a good 20 minutes away, it really was best that I just stayed close. So it all worked out well.

Alright, time to get ready and do this. My first day off in a week, I've got to use it well.
