handholding

(no subject)

I will never understand my parents' obsession with America's Funniest Videos (although I do have to admit ... I miss Sagat) probably as much as they will never understand my Potter obsession. So, really. They should stop bothering me about it, and continue watching their AFV.

I don't know how it's done at Jewel or anywhere else one would get photos developed, but I suddenly realized why there is such a thing as 'one hour photos'. From the moment you hand off that little roll to the developing person, to the moment you get handed back 24 glossy prints, a lot goes on. At least at Wolf, it does. 7 machines, 3 of which are computers, are what is needed to take it from a roll to finished prints. It can be done by a single person, but that's where I see the 'hour' coming into play. Especially when there are multiple rolls.

It's a good job, I'm working almost constantly. No so much today, considering I was a newb. I fear for tomorrow, though. 9:30 to 6:30. Pretty much open to close. And I'm working with Vince, who kinda sorta a little bit scares me.
