Wow. I feel ... so strange right now. Like ... omg, I haven't updated my LJ in 2 days! I'm sure you're ALL wondering where I am. Well, to put it bluntly, I'm in seamstress-ville, population 2.

Dana has been here since Friday. We've been working from around 7 pm Friday night, to around 2 pm, then noon to 2 pm last night. We've got all the DE robes finished. Lucius's vest just needs button holes, fray check, and buttons. Lucius's robe just needs fur around the cuffs, and the coat is needing some re-work-age. I was working on it last night while fighting with myself to stay awake. I think I pulled a muscle in the back of my right thigh from all the pedal pushing I've been doing! I'm not joking.

This is the most sewing I've ever done in such a short amount of time. I haven't showered in 3 days (going to remedy that in just a little bit). I'm impressed with the work we've done. And I owe it all to Dana. She's such a motivator. She was helping me out last night when exhaustion was starting to set in. She was trying to talk me through working this collar and I just wasn't getting it. I decided then that it was time for bed, before I fucked something up.

Today, we need to finish Lucius's coat and then cut out Voldemort's robe. We've decided, due to time constraints, that Voldemort's robe will not be lined. The vinyl we're using doesn't fray, so it should be just fine without a lining. I'm even thinking of getting rid of the sleeve lining in the DE robes, because they look like shit. I don't think the pattern we used was suppose to fit together like that.

Oh yeah, even though my dad will never see this, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Holy shit.

They are SO DONE! OMFG!

I just returned from driving Dana back with our precious cargo of Draco, Snape, and Lucius outfits, along with food for the trip, and some blankets and pillows. The worst of it is done, and that was making the robes. Voldemorts robe looks fantastic in that snake skin. And Dana's outfit looks sweet as all hell. I can't wait to see us all done up in our outfits. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best things I've ever done. I'm not as stressed out about it. I've been known to make costumes very last minute, and that makes me frustrated and stressed very easily. But now, I have NOTHING to worry about. Except Kaoru, which I'll practically be making on the ride there. Oh yeah, I never really mentioned Kaoru, did I ...

I'll be Drain Away Kaoru on Friday, thanks to Dana deciding on being Toshiya and Mel being Kyo. I looked all over for a double breasted vinyl coat and couldn't find one. I saw one while at the mall, in NY & Co. Tried it on, gasped at the price tag, but decided to go for it. It was $130, but when I got to the register, it was marked down to $100, and on top of that, a lady in line gave me a 20% off coupon, so I got $50 off. So that was pretty sweet. I'm not going to put the spikes directly on the coat, because I've decided to make it my winter coat when I'm done with it. Everything is going to be pinned to fabric and then safety pinned on. So it'll be ghetto!Kaoru, w00t. Luckily I have the hair cut, so I just need to spikez0r it. Whoa, I pulled a Greg ... XD

Ok, I'm like ... beat. I'm going to FUCKING BED and NOT WAKING UP UNTIL WEDNESDAY ... or 9 am tomorrow. Whichever comes first.
